So this week has been anything far from relaxing...so much for that one. Between planning for Winter Carnival this weekend and preparing for tonights Town Meeting with the Executive board, to doing a ton of catch up work, moving an entire department to another building 800 feet down Whites Bridge Rd. and having my RA interview tomorrow....yeah, its been a hectic week alright.
Tonights town meeting was a mix of production and a waste of time. For one thing - we should have put more time into making things better for everyone, not creating ways to make the campus pub a better place for the over 21 crowd. And whats with this bashing the Campus Activities Board anyway? We do a lot for people around here, and we try and provide something for everyone on the limited budget we have, which is only $50,000 for the year. Like I said, if people ever want to chat about this, then come to one of our meetings - on Tuesday Nights at 8:00 in the Alfond Center Alumni Lounge.
Blah - so its gonna be an early night for Jeff tonight. Up early to take a ride to Raymond to get winter carnival supplies with Mike Connolly, then RA interview at 10:00. Can you say stress up the wazoo?
Wish me luck! Im hoping to get the recently-opened position in Putnam to finish out the year, which would be AWESOME! But if I dont get it, I would be just as thrilled to get a position for next year. But, that about does it for now. Peace out cubscouts!

So many of my friends have asked me why I chose to name my journal after a bird that suddenly bursts into flame and kills itself, then miracously becomes reborn from the ashes of its predecessor. Well, heres my take on it. The Phoenix is, throughout mythology, a mystical bird that was never fully able to be explained. The reason I chose the Phoenix as the symbol for this journal and my new screenname is because of the legend behind it.

So there you have it. The Jaded Phoenix. A play on words in some respects, but I hope this explains it a little more for you guys. This is the major reason for creating such an unusual name for this journal and AIM screenname. Feel free to ask if you have any questions, but until then, peace out friends.

Welcome to the first entry of my new LiveJournal. I decided that I wanted a new screenname, so thats the largest reason for the change.
I dont really need a new journal, but this is going to be more of a place to post personal reflections and events that happen, and a lot more of my ranting will be done here. I will still be using ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small}
dynamicpsycho04 to post stuff like surveys and other random happenings like that, but this will be where more of my personal life will be written.
That said, most of the entries in this journal will be Friends Only entries. So if you want to keep up with whats happening, go ahead and comment and I will add you.
